Our Holiday at Sun Island in the Maldives
1st August - 15th August 2006
Points to note

Our honeymoon was at Sun Island in the Maldives, a truly beautiful part of the world. We flew from Gatwick via Manchester to Male with Monarch. The flight itself was ok, but it was very crowded and for an 11 hour flight you couldn't really get comfortable. Also the plane was 3 seats on one aisle 3 seats in the middle and then 3 seats on the other aisle. this meant that there were quite a few couples that could not sit next to each other.

Having arrived we were swiftly transferred to our sea plane transfer, this was an amazing transfer and was only 35 minutes before reaching Sun Island. We spoke to some people that went by speed boat and it took them 2 1/2 - 3 hours and they couldn't see out of the boat. I would definately recommend an upgrade to the sea plane transfer.

After our coconut drinks on arrival we went to our super deluxe room. I was quite surprised as to the size of the room, it was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. The bed was massive, it was a Queen size bed and very comfortable.
